Movie:  The Age of Stupid
A film made by Franny Armstrong, starring Pete Postlewaite (Usual Suspects, In the Name of the Father), will be shown at the Cherryville Hall on Friday Nov. 20th at 7pm.
The film shows a survivor of global warming disasters looking back and asking himself, "Why didn't we save ourselves when we still could?" - which is why they call the years between 1988 and 2015 the "Age of Stupid".  This film is not scheduled to be shown in regular cinemas until after the Copenhagen Climate Change Talks which will occur in December . This is not a coincidence.
We are very fortunate to be able to see this film now, before the talks, as it gives us time to take action and demand from our Prime Minister to commit and sign this ambitious treaty.  There will be a discussion after the film and coffee & tea will be served.  Admission free.
